I still think racing with that truck is awesome!

The truck has a 78 350 100,000 miles, all factory stock except for headers and duals. TH350 auto, stock, 3.73 12 bolt (peg leg) 3980pds with me out. 16.50 was my best pass @ 79 mph.

You've got an exeptional runner there Cap. It's just about as quick as my buddies '78 Camaro was. 350/4sp/4.11s, it sounded pretty good, but was maybe a 16 sec car.
BTW, according to the handy racing calculator in your sig, it's putting 270 hp to the rear wheels, 324 at the flywheel. I added 180lbs for the driver.

The mill came outta mt 78 Jimmy. It ran strong in it. It's a 78 mill but not original to the Jimmy. I prolly should say 100,000+ mile cause I've put about 90,000 on it. And who knows what was already on it. The PO drove it 2 qts low a long time cause it had holes in the pan. I replaced the pan and the timing set while in there. The nylon gears were perfect. So I doubted anyone changed the cam.

When it was in the Jimmy I raced a buddy's 89 5.slow and had him till the top of 2nd gear and he got me by about 2 between the bumpers. The truck woulda killed him.
