I have a Summit 8601 hydraulic cam at the shop you can have..... It had about a dozen passes on it when the motor let go and I went to the Erson solid cam. It ran 11.92 in my 360 up at Tulsa..... you remember how hot it was Spud?
Not too sure how much AMC stuff I have laying around..... I know I have a stock starter if you need it. I went to the late model mini starter on mine. _________________ 2006 Texas Outsiders NMC Champion

Yeah Spud.... it was like 106 with a track temp of 158. No burnout required!!!
On my second pass Patrick Ford said the car had both front tires about 4" in the air and I felt it when it came down...... way cool!!!

Sweet! I have an unknown set of headers at the house that are for an AMC, but we have no idea what they are for or where they came from. If those don't fit I'll take you up on your offer! _________________ I'm gonna race something soon... damnit.

i think I told you before, I have a brand new mallory unilite distributer and coil that would set you up with an electronic ignition. it's a mechanical advance only unit, good for racin. I don't wanna think about how much it costed. now it doesn't HAVE to have one,but
add a good cd ignition box like a msd 6 or 7 and you'd have fine ignition. it doesn't come with a gear, which is good, use an old oem gear and you won't have to worry about gear destruction. I also have some 4 barrel holleys. the one from my cheap 290 project is nice. if you wanna get rid of your 4.0 stuff, maybe we can work out some horsetradin. hey keep mentioning what you might need and keep the gears turnin... I got a lot of crap over here collectin dust.

I don't think it had an alt on it. I can't remember but I know I don't have one. The slapper's could come in handy.
When I first started working on the car I was planning on putting in all that Jeep 4oh wiring in it, so most of the wiring is already out. I was thinking about rewiring the car and only running what I have to. I don't need turn signals, brake lights, headlights, etc. So I figure the would save some weight if I just made my own harness. What do y'all think? Reuse the factory fuse block or try to find a small universal one with the new mini fuse's and wire it myself? I want to have everything on a switch... meaning eventually I would like to run an electric water pump and fuel pump and have an ignition box on a switch too. Since I have more time than money I was planning on making a sheet metal dash, hence the switches and a few gauges. Less weight and cleaner looking.... plus I don't have a dash for the car! LOL. _________________ I'm gonna race something soon... damnit.

make your own harness, ive got to undo the battery in the AMX every time I drive it cause I dont know who did what to it, and I dont trust 40 year old shit........ build it, NEW fuse block, I can get you one cheap..6 or 8 gang.. let me know what you need. as for as dash..... what the hell do you need a dash for, aluminum with temp and tach, oil pressure, volt guage... this is gonna be a race car right? start acting like it...... _________________ Thats not a oil leak, thats sweat fromall the horsepower...
