I'm sick of folks stickin their heads in there tryin to sell their shit. I ain't sellin nuthin, I don't care. to hell with em. let em buy shit. oh fuck it. it's to early to get worked up, i'm eatin some donuts

Thanks for sharing. I love the whole 5800 deal and the idea of something lasting all day, week, month, year, etc.

I see guys building strokers and big inches and reving them to 7000 and running about the same, or worse with a potential grenade IMO.

I miss a lot of Ken Parkmans psots about Convertors. That was always good shit.

I finally got my computer at the house back up and running and just caught this thread...... good job Spudster!!! Those are some good time for a fresh out of the box motor! I am not suprised at the 5800 rpm shift point. The 408 SB Chryslers I have built with a 4" stroke like to be shifted there and not higher.

I know that Harolds car runs a little better than mine due to the extra compression he has over mine but you have a little more than he does. That tells me that the little Nash motors like it a lot!!!

Tell you a secret Spud....... get you a 800 base plate, put a 750 main body on it and voila..... over 900 CFM!!!!! Don't ask me how, but it does. That is the combo on Harolds motor. We are going to try it on my car some time to see if it picks it up a bit. We know his motor liked the 1050 dominator....... that tells me these little motors can breath!

well, it runs better than the old motor, the old motor was pretty tame. i think if i ever get a carb on it likes, it'll do better. the 830 has a lot bigger jets in it than the 750, i'm not sure why it ran so lean, maybe it's got something to do with it being an out of the box"nascar" carb. I dunno. I need a bunch of trial and error tuning time, But I m just ain't got it. it's hard to flog a tune even at test and tune night, there's so many people there and all. hell I never even got that old afb really right. Well I guess thats how I do it. not really right, but not so wrong it totally sucks. :?

OK Jim, i sent them to you. at least I think I did. the weather was kinda warm and humid, and the car lost a couple mph, and I didn't go down into the tens at all. I lost some 60 ft time too. the car does run decent in top gear, i ran folks down and made em break out. didn't do me any good, I redlit hard in the second round.I kinda backed out for just a blink, then got back in, I ran my boy down anyways { he dialed 11.45} and he ended up running a 11.43, i past him by a fender at the finish. he probably didn't know wtf i was doing...hope i skullfucked him enough for the next round. i ended up running an 11.18.
